In France they say that it has to be more than luck that explains why we win. Well, they are right.
Dear French people, try explaining away the following:
Dear French people, try explaining away the following:
Europe Champions and MVP of the tournament Fernando Navarro. Rafa Nadal more than 10 Grand Slams of this 10 GS, 6 have been the Roland Garros. Pau Gasol two rings NBA and world champions with Spain. FC Barcelona best team in the world for the last four years with players like Xavi Hernandez, Andres Iniesta, Carles Puyol or Gerard Piqué. Jorge Lorenzo, Nico Terol and Marc Marquez won in the same year the three categories( 125º, 250º and 500º).Two time world champions of Fomula 1, Fernando Alonso. Davis Cup with great players like Feliciano Lopez, David Ferrer or Tommy Robredo. Spain has won too Le Tour de France, Alberto Contador, Miguel Induran, Oscar Pereiro and much more. Xavi Hernandez, Andres Iniesta, Xavi Alonso, Gerard Piqué, Iker Casillas, Sergio Ramos, 6 of the 11 best players of the world. I could be like this all day with other sports like golf, handball, candle, swimming, athletics, and so on!
French… !C’est la vie!
This is unacceptable! I can hardly think a best example for jealousy. We are better than the french athletes and this is reflected on how many championships, prizes and a lot more we have won in a great number of sports. We are better and they should ask themselves when was the last time they won the tour, or the formule 1, how they are doing in football and how they are doing in other sports where a spanish is winning. I'm proud of being spanish and I won't accept that nobody says we are cheaters. I accept this comments up to a point but not like this!

I agree with Ignacio. It is unacceptable to question such incredible athletes and I think Spain should do something to stop them. It is not only soccer and tennis, it's all kinds of sports where spanish athletes are better tham french athletes and it has gotten to a point where they are tired of seing spain winning. They are much more than gelous, they are seeing that we are living a spanish era and they can't do anything about it. I think it's unacceptable that they have done a program laughing about spanish athletes.
ReplyDeleteI think that one thing is laughing about your own country (like in crackovia or polonia) but laughing about other countries is being disrespectful, not only for the athletes but for the whole country.

A French television channel has been sued by the Spanish Tennis Federation after they made a video which implies Rafael Nadal, the tennis world No 2 and other Spanish athletes. In this video they say that Spanish athletes are drug users.
ReplyDeleteNot only I consider this a clear act of jealousy but also of disrespect, therefore no one can doubt about Spanish sportsmen because they’ve won practically everything in the last years. If they don’t win anything is not our fault but they don’t need to try to justify their defeats by attacking other respectful sportsmen.
I think it is totally normal that Jose Luis Escanuela, president of the tennis federation, says that in this occasion the French have exceeded.
I am completely shore when I say Spanish are the best sportsmen of the world because Gerard has named a lot of Spanish sportsmen who have won a lot of things and there are even more. Thank you for this nice post.
José Mª Casals
I totally agree with Gerard. The truth is that the french people are jealous of us, they can't stand that we are better in sports than them. We have proved it, just look at this sportsmen generation, at the trophies that they have won, it's amazing!
ReplyDeleteWhat the French television has done is disgusting, in my opinion, they should be sanctioned because this has affected the Spanish sports image.
The Spanish people have negative and positive things but never betray our values and sacrify our dignity.
