A Hero!!!

I couldn’t believe it when I first saw it. A woman faint in the train station and just fell down on the train tracks. A police that was there in that moment, when the train was arriving, went down the train tracks and rescued the women. He is a really authentically hero!!!

He wasn’t in his labour time, but he still jumped in to the train track and rescued the women.  Lots of people were around of the tragedy looking. But none of them had the value and power to get down and resolve the situation. Just him. The train was arriving and the woman was just in the middle of the track. The police didn’t think it twice. He went stratify to save the woman, going just in front of the train. He could apart the woman who was still faint and put her in a safer place.
All the other people didn’t do anything, only the police was brave enough to do it. Not only this time. He had already safe a baby this summer when the baby felt on a profound river. He jumped to the river and rescued the baby that had fallen. He is a hero.
In that extreme situation:
What would you do?
Would you jump to the train track?
Would you risk your life as the police did?

F.C.Barcelona

F.C.Barcelona looses a league match twenty matches later. This Saturday 19th, Barcelona went to Anoeta, Real Sociedad’s stadium, and lost for 3-2.

The best team in the world finally looses a match that sincerely they could have won easily. They were wining in the first-half of the match. But on the second half everuthing went wrong and the match went out of their hands. An expulison of Pique motivated Real's players.
They were doing it perfectly in the League, they had only drawn against Madrid.
I personally prefer that we’ve lost against Real Sociedad than with any other team, because I really like Real Sociedad as a team, and I'm glad that if somebody could beat Barça, that team is Real SociedadIt’s the second match that they don’t win consecutively. On Tuesday there was the draw against Malaga and now they lose against Real Sociedad. Despite being the best team of all and with the best players in Europe, people are starting to think that this is the end of F.C.Barcelona stars. I really think that it's simply been a question of two bad matches, and that we'll start to win again next week.

Do you think as me?

Do you think this is the end for Barça?
Will he pass against Malaga?

Do you prefer that Barça looses against Real Sociedad, or against any other team?

"Human beings shall enjoy freedom of speech" (The Universal Declaration of Human Rights)

Since Catalonia’s elections I have been hearing many politicians talking about how undemocratic a self-determination referendum is. I have heard people like Vargas Llosa talking about Catalonia as if it were a colony of the Spanish Empire; José Maria Aznar treating the vast majority of Catalan citizens like dirt. I’ve also heard Joaquin Leguina, Madrid’s ex-president, saying that a referendum is not only illegal but undemocratic. Since when does the freedom to decide go against democratic principles? Not to mention the association of former militants who have threatened to take up arms if the aforementioned referendum takes place.
DE-MO-CRA-CY! For god’s sake! This isn’t a dictatorship anymore. It’s been a long time since Franco died! Catalonia’s people should have the right to vote, to decide!

Do you think a non-binding referendum should be held in Catalonia?
Ps: this post is not about whether you believe Catalonia should be independent, but about a nation’s right to decide, to speak… By the way, sorry for being so biased, but this situation really pisses me off!

Studying abroad

Nowadays, studying abroad is getting more and more common for young people.  Every day we are a bit nearer to the day when we have to go to university, and leaving or not is an important decision to make. Our families and us, take the decision to leave home and go to another country where we know no one and nothing about it. It is a decision which some people might find it scary because it means leaving everything you know and going to an adventure which you don’t know what will happen.

But, leaving this apart, I personally think that it is something that enriches you in many ways, such as, you get to know different people with different cultures which it is very productive because it makes you see thing beyond what you´ve been seeing all this time. You get to be more mature because you have to do everything for yourself without the hep of your parents.

Moreover, looking at the academic part, it is also a positive thing to do because you get to learn new things that maybe in your country they do them differently and you´d never had know. And of course, you learn and practice daily a new language.
In my opinion, it´s an experience that anyone who can, should do.

What is your opinion about this? Would you go to study abroad?
