What a coincidence that every time RealMadrid loses with FC Barcelona they have a excuse prepared involving the referee.Real Madrid is a team that doesn't accept losing a match, they only think in the referee and making faults and not in playing football. I still can't understand how Képler Laveram, known as Pepe, has not been sanctioned by the Comit of football. I think that if Pepe want's to do a favour to the fans of football he should retire because is not the first time he does bandalism and will not be the last.
Or if he wants he can go to prison 2 years and then come to play football again. Because the football that Pepe plays is not football is terrorism and the bad thing is that he loves doing this type of rubbish!

  1. I totally agree with Gerard, I also think Pepe shouldn’t be allowed to play football at least in the Spanish league, as last week’s incidents weren’t the first ones. More or less one year ago, Madrid was losing against Getafe and Pepe tackled an opposite player and when he was in the floor he kicked him in the head. When another opposite player went there to stop him he threw a fist on him.

These are a few examples of what a man can do because of jealousy and because of being a bad looser. The real problem with it is that Pepe hasn’t been punished by the LFP, therefore, he will feel free to do it again as he will not be punished.

When people act like this and are seen in the TV by millions of people, including kids, they really should be punished because this is not playing football, it is actually shameful and quite sad.

  2. I agree with both Gerard and David as I find totally unacceptable the behaviour that Pepe has during matches, not only against their prominent rival, FCBarcelona; but against other teams such as Getafe, as David mentioned. It is entirely true that jealousy is what moves Pepe to such violent acts as the ones seen in that particular match, as he is incapable of playing football fairly. Obviously most players commit faults often, but Pepe has accumulated a number of faults and expulsions absolutely amazing.
In my opinion he should be severely punished and forbidden to play matches if necessary, as if this behaviour continues; other players could be injured or maybe influenced by him. Referees allowing this type of game can lead to a lack of sportsmanship in professional football, so they should take measures before this goes any further.

  3. I find it a coincidence that now that we are in a recession the number of Barça vs Real Madrid football matches are increasing and that after every football match there is controversy. For example, there sometimes are goals that should have been offside, and players that have been sent off unfairly. This makes people talk and think about the football match instead of talking about if are the politicians are doing a good job, the recession, the job cuts etc. So why shouldn’t they increase the number of Barça vs Real Madrid if that covers their back, this year (2012) we could end up having 8 or more Barça vs Real Madrid. What makes me think about this, is that normally in the “Copa del Rey” the champion and runner-up, are put one in one side and the other one in the other, so that if they won all the matches they see each other again in the finals (that is only one match), but instead of that Madrid and Barça were put in the same side, so that if they won all their soccer matches they would play each other in the quarter finals (two matches). Also I think they are making Madrid face Barça more times than normal because it generates a lot of money.

And answering your post I totally agree that Pepe should never be allowed to play again as children that see them as role models see these kind of things and learn about them, so what do we end up having? 8 year-olds insulting to the referees, doing the “peineta”, playing dirty etc. At least they should fine him so that children see that they can’t do that and that if they do that they will be punished so that they will not try to do it.

People like Pepe should have an exemplary behavior, as he is a public figure and influences children of all ages. If he sets a good example, they will follow it and everyone will benefit from it, but if he sets a bad example, they will also follow it and will cause problems.
