Two years ago, an outstanding film was launched, this movie “2012” was based on ancient beliefs which foretold the end of the world.
According to the Mayan calendar, the world is about to end: the date for our final breath will be the 21st of December next year, 2012.
Since the moment this calendar was discovered, a lot of investigations have been carried out to check the 'facts'. Although we hope this isn’t true, it has to be said that it isn't only the Mayan calendar which predicts the end of the world in 2012: a Roman oracle predicted that the world would last for nine periods of four hundred years each, with the tenth period the last - and this started in the year 2000AC. All her other predictions, up until today, have been true. Will this one will also be true?
i think really that these nyths are totally stupid as many cientific investigations have been carried out and the scientifics suppose that the world will end in a far more huge period, so we should not be concerned about this and live our lives normally as are since now because i think these theories are totally coincidence.

ReplyDeleteEvery now and then, people, are keen on making difficult predictions to swallow. Many of them don´t have a solid scientific nor social basis which makes them completely unbelievable though the one is mentioned on the article is not one of them. Sustainable studies have been caried out by many archaeologists and scientifics which support the idea of the world ending in 2012. Difficult to believe? I would say a lack of reality perhaps. The world's population is growing at a giant step though the world's dimensions are not, more people means more polution which means destruction of the world which leads to the end of it. Calsaaa
According to what Alba said, there are a lot of ancient theories predicting the end of the world. Actually, I have to say that I am so superstitious that I trust in all what these tribes have said, but I have to recognize that it is just a faith.
ReplyDeleteOn the other hand, some ancient theories were not true. For example, James Kingstey predicted “the major earthquake storm” where the world was supposed to end during 2006 (Jan25), which didn’t happen yet. This is (and a lot of other examples I found in this web: http://www.religioustolerance.org/end_wrl1.htm)what makes me doubt, because all those forecasts they did are wrong, any of those predictions happened yet and this is what makes me think that not everything about theories predicting the end of the world are right.
My opinion is that no one can predict what is going to happen because no one knows exactly what the future will be. Although scientists think they can predict “everything”, it’s not in their hands. However, if it does happen (hope it doesn’t) what will happen with the human existence? Will there be another one? But I don’t care that much, I won´t be there anyways to see it!

I think there is not much to comment about this. In my opinion, when 2012 starts , it will go on as if it were another year. Things will not change and so life will continue on as normal. So it is obvious I don't believe in this myths. I think of them of being a method to scare people and make comercial films like the one named 2012. I can't see any cientific explanations behind this nor any trustworthy facts to focus on whick makes me think of the so mentioned end of the world as a complete lie.

My head tries to rely on the light, pacific, cientific. There is no truth in this, it says. It is just a misundestanding, never anyone thought about them Mayas ending their calender that day just becouse they didn't think they were going to live any further? Does someone remeber how many ends of the world we have already been through? 1999, 2000 and 2006 I might of thought that was enough when 2012's profecy came to light. Predicitons are guess without any proof.
ReplyDeleteThat is when I step into the dark side of doubt. What if...? My instincts want to keep me alive, and we all fear.
What about octopus Paul? What about animals sixth sense? How come Mayas new so much about the sky when it rains so much? These are mysteries only time will help and solve.
We shall wait and now.
