Are their kidding me?
How can a man be more than seventeen minutes under the water without breathing.
It’s impossible. Well, they have showed that he cans. He has the record Guiness
of being without breathing under the water.
He had to go beyond
his proper record. As we can see he hasn’t got it really easy. He suffers a lot
but with the psychological help of his women he finally beets his record. This is
not easy at all, they strictly recommend to don’t try it at a swimming pool,
because behind these are hours and hours of training.
When I first saw the
video I was amused, and I had to watch it again to believe it. Because it’s
really amazing what he has done. If I did it I maybe arrive to one minute but
no more, and he has arrived to more than seventeen minutes, that is really
incredible.
We can see he first
will not beet it, but he finally did. Of all the records there are, this is the
most wonderful and amazing in my opinion, because you have to be prepared. You don’t
born with this record, this is not like having the most long tongue or
something like this. This is something he has done because of his training and sacrifices.
Do you think that if you trained you will be able to beat
him?
Do you think that someone will beet this record?
What do you think about it?
The world records are considered really impressive, as they are. But I think it also depends on the record you are trying to beat, some of them are very interesting but not as impressive as they think to be. I think that some of the records need some more dedications than others, like for example, something to do with sport and others how need their physical abilities to do so. However, I think that some others are such as having the longer finger nails or the longest hair doesn’t need much, just time.
ReplyDeleteTalking specifically about this record I think is something that needs some sort of dedication and effort, and is also a way to show yourself you can do more than you expect. Besides, you have a healthy live, as your lungs have to support strong pressure under water, so this is a good way to stay fit, and healthy. However this can damage strongly some parts of you body as they are not very used to it. But of course, everything depends on how you are, and this is what makes you different from others, but not only physically but also in a more psychic way.
I don’t think that even with a big dedication in this I could beat his record, as I am a weaker and smaller person, which makes me have smaller lungs, and for this type of competition it is a quality that is needed. However, I am completely sure that someone can beat his record, as with good techniques and with a healthy diet you can make your dedication completely efficient.

ReplyDeleteI strongly agree with Marc that it is really amazing. I think that this is a good example to prove until which point humans are able to arrive, an example of overcoming.
ReplyDeleteFrom my point of view this person is very brave because not everybody is able to train themselves and finally achieve what they want. Not only the fact of training something and achieve it makes him brave, but also being able to resist under water so many time knowing it's dangerous. Personally I think that one of the most terrible situations occur when you cannot breath for a few seconds and he has been for seventeen minutes! What's more he has also helped the world by showing that human beings are able of doing this things which I suppose that for scientists is a huge progress in where to investigare more.
It is a huge psycological effort, is not just a physical matter. Once he's there, although his lungs can resist because they have been trained, he would probably be overthinking. He would be thinking in the minutes that are left and in the last minutes when he couldn't make more effort the sufferment would be much greater.
In conclusion I would like to say that I am really impressed and it is something I admire. I wouldn't be able to be there for more than 30 seconds or so. Not only because I don't have the ability to resist more because of my longs, but because I would become very stressed. Not even training I would be able. I personally think you need a very strong mentallity which not everybody has. He has shown to the world that even in the worst situations you have to fight for what you want, in this case beating the record. What's more, this is a great progress for him because in any dangerous situation in the sea or wherever he would survive for sure. So I think this record will stay for a long time there because it is quite difficult to beat. I imagine that there has been more people training and if they haven't even try it is because they now that they wouldn't have arrived so far.
First of all, once again Marc thank you for another breathtaking news that not only gives us goose bumps but also proves that everything is possible with a touch of hard work.
ReplyDeleteWhen everybody though that his promise of staying 17 minutes under-water without a single atom of oxygen provided was an absolute aberration, this young-man proved us all that with a pinch of hard-work and a hint of luck many out-minded things are not so far away from our capabilities.
Not only I reckon I won’t be able to beat his record but I can guarantee that his achievement will remain in the exclusive “World Guinness” book for many decades. This institution only opens its pages to the most extraordinary persons who are capable of making us all remain oblivious to them and their spirit.
To conclude, congratulations to all those who keep braking human’s frontiers and give us all faith on our ability to prove all those that we can do what they think we can’t.
