Last week,
during the Boston marathon two bombs exploded near the finish line. 3 people
were killed and more than 100 wounded. A few minutes after the attack police
cars and firemen appeared to help and peony of spectators immediately tried
to do as much as they could helping people to move away from the scene and comforting others.
There are
two suspicious seen by the cameras around, they are two brothers from Chechnya
which have been in the States since 2007. One had been shot when he got coughed
while they were being chased and his younger brother managed to escape. To everyone’s
relief, the second one has been caught in the place where he was hiding.
A day,
which started as beautiful and memorable where the mythical marathon was going
to take place, ended as a nightmare to remember.
What do you
think about this?
Should there be more security in this class of
events
The bombing in the Boston Marathon was a terrible notice for everyone. It was an event in which a lot of people had been preparing for and waiting for, there was a lot of expectation. I can't understand how people can think about putting a bomb, I don't find any reason for doing it. If they didn't have any mental problem is just ridiculous, is not funny at all killing a lot of people you don't even know.
ReplyDeleteFrom my point of view I think that this has caused a lot of panic worlwide. Days after this bombing it took place the Madrid Marathon and a lot of people were not sure to go or not after being preparing for months only because of fear. They feared that the same thing was going to happen in Madrid. It was completely unfair that athletes that were looking forward to run this marathons were now going to miss it because they didn't want to be injured. The bomb could have killed a lot of people but gracefully only 3 died of thousands. However, nobody should have had died!
Nowadays terrorism is very controlled, we can see it for example in aeroports where there is a lot of rules to fly. However, as it seems is not as controlled as it should be because there are still bombings like this one that reflects some insecurity. I find that it is quite difficult to control the marathon because there were thousands of people participating and thousands more watching and so is like controlling a whole city. But instead I think that this events only take place once a year and so is the time to check absolutely everything.
During multitudinous events, security should be reinforced. Probably, nobody expects ever a terrorist attack to occur. But if it does, like in the Boston marathon, everyone should be prepared to know how to act; including the civilians.
ReplyDeleteOf course, both policemen and health assistants did an extremely good and moreover quick job. They become heroes, helping and taking care of the wounded people. In fact, without their efficient help the situation would have been much more dramatic.
Besides in this events the authorities take extreme precautions sometimes it’s impossible to avoid these accidents. If the event wasn’t so big, maybe thing could have changes. But in this case there were thousands of people participating and it’s totally impossible to control everyone.
However, I’m sure that in further events security will be stronger; if possible, to avoid these disgraces.
Moving on, I want to focus on the consequences of this attack. Insecurity has spread worldwide. In fact, some important events that were going to take place only a few days after Boston Marathon were cancelled. Fear has spread through different countries. Is this natural or is the media exaggerating? This is a very difficult question to answer as we are influenced daily by the media.
Also, some people have said to be sure that this is a complot of the EE.UU government to try to raise Obama’s popularity; which has been falling since he put higher taxes, by creating a stronger feeling of nationalism to fight against terrorism.
The Boston Marathon bombing was definitely a life-changing event for thousands of people not only in the United States, but also around the world. It was a traditional event in Boston, in which many people participated expecting it to be a memorable day, but instead ended as a nightmare. Two Russian brothers were the ones who ended with the lives of three spectators and the death of a policeman in MIT. There were about 264 injured people who were treated in 27 different local hospitals, from which at least 16 had an amputation. Even though there was a massive amount of cruelty in this bombing, national politicians and law enforcement arrived to the scene extremely quickly and saved every person they could.
ReplyDeleteIn my opinion, this was a total nightmare for the people who assisted the event and their families. Even though the United States is one of the safest countries in the world, there have been occurring numerous genocides in the past few years. However, I believe this has nothing to do with the president Barack Obama because the deaths occur in places where nobody expects it to happen. I believe he reacted the best way he could after the bombing, he pretty much closed the entire city of Boston until the suspect was found. That is the proof of how the United States has total control in every situation and I am completely sure that there will be more security in every marathon done.
There was plenty of security in the marathon; there were ambulances and policeman all over the place and around the city. Also, different companies in America did the best they could in helping the victims and their families. Websites such as YouCaring, Fundly and GiveForward gave more than $2 to the most needed ones. After this Marathon, many upcoming events were canceled to secure the country and to respect the victims of the event. In conclusion, the United States did the best they could in helping the victims and implementing security around the country.
