The best team in the world?
Barcelona was deserted. The streets empty. The shops silent. While a few sad souls strayed across the square, kept company by damp pigeons, the majority of Barcelona's citizens were laughing in disbelief, crying or cheering. And Barça won 5-0. A fair fight won by the better team... indeed, by the best team in the world? Or a disaster, a combination of bad luck and poor refereeing? What do you think?

For me, Barça is, in this moment, the best team in the world because it's a real team. Their players have a strong connection to the coach. They enjoy it a lot while they're playing so everyone enjoys the match too.
ReplyDeleteAlthough I'm not a great football follower (like Miss Torres is), speaking objectively, I certainly have to say that Barça really is the best team in the world. And not only because of the spectacular match they played last Monday, which was just one of the thousands of great matches that Barça has played recently.
ReplyDeleteAgreeing with Miss Torres, they certainly are real team, their players are totally compatible with each other, they are fixed together in a way no other team is. This makes them more than a team, and the result is unarguably the best.
Futbol Club Barcelona has what is called "team spirit". The bonds between the players make them feel like siblings, fighting for the same objective in the best way they can do, enhancing their capabilities and keeping the rhythm up until the last minute.
ReplyDeleteThe relationship with Guardiola is absolutely unique, I feel they see him more or less like a father figure: they know he will do anything for his team, they know this is not just his 'modus vivendi' but his life. When I saw Iniesta's, Valdés's and Piqué's aggressive reaction towards Ronaldo after pushing Guardiola, I saw clearly they were furious for his cockiness but mainly for daring to touch their coach who means so much to them in such a superior manner.
To what the game refers, I can only say they played incredibly. It was a match I enjoyed watching very much because it's the classic Barça-Madrid and it was played beautifully by our players, in the Camp Nou, here, at home.
Futbol club Barcelona is with no doubt the best team of the world. In addition, this is due to the relationship between the players and as well the coach,Guardiola.
ReplyDeleteI'm as Berta is astonished to what happened between Iniesta, Pique and Valdes and Ronaldo. In addition I saw the match and the goalkeeper came running such a long distance in a few seconds to respond against Ronaldo, that had touched their coach in such a cockiness and repellent way.
Moreover the match that they played that they played last monday was flabbergasting and unique and probably the best one of its history.
I feel astonished about Silvia Torres commenting such article as I thought that only students could comment

FCBarcelona is the best team of the world without any doubt. Three of their players have been chosen for the ´golden ball`(Xavi,I niesta and Messi) and this shows the quality of their players. In addition, in the last two years Barça has won 8 titles of 10 possibles. Also, Barça won 6 titles in one year and this is extremely shocking because it’s the first Spanish team in achieving this. In the team, it has the best player of all the world and the majority of their players are of minor categories(La Cantera). In the Spanish national team, that won the maximum trophy that a national team can obtain there where 8 players that were part of the team, this type of things make FCBarcelona´s team, the best team in the world of all times.
ReplyDeleteHowever, the style of game of Gladiola’s team is recognized around world, for their spectacular football and how offensive they are.
After the striking 5-0, all the media opened the debate about if Barça was the best team of the world and lots of trainers, ex players and also journalists have considered that Barça is the best team of the world and they have all the reason.

Futbol Club Barcelona really showed last week what they are capable of, beating a very prestigious team such as Real Madrid. The shocking result (5-0) shows the capacity of the team and the superiority it has upon the other as fcb had a higher percentage with the ball's possession, more score opportunities and many other factors. The result is very offensive for Madrid followers, as it is a significative match for both catalan and madrid citizens, because in some way it reflects the competition between both spanish communities in other aspects such as development and society.
ReplyDeleteI personally consider Barça THE BEST team in the entire world due to the close relationships between the players with the coach, and especially with their supporters. I fully trust with the team's play to win many other collective and individual awards and cups.

personally,
ReplyDeleteThe 5-0 annihilation was a unanimous and crushing victory of the free-flowing football compared to the less stylish, more mechanical football played by Real Madrid. However, it was not only a victory on the pitch as it also showed the world how overspending isn't necessarily the way forward, and in R.Madrid's case wasn't enough to stop the fantastic homegrown players from Barcelona's academy teaching them a lesson in football. I consider this to be a victory of the sensible nurturing of youth over the frivolous spending which has made the football world become an overhyped business. which, ridiculously, is controlled by players agents who command ridiculous fees for distinctly average players.
moreover, I believe that not even Barça can claim that they are running a sensible and self-sufficient business model as they are burdened with large debts and have been bailed out by the large bank La Caixa with an emergency loan to pay players salaries. This happened only last June and I am worried to see that even Barça with it's trust in their academy is struggling financially.
So, as wonderful and dazzling the football may be on the pitch I struggle to enjoy it as I can't help but be distracted by the looming issues that are going to become more prominent in the very near future.
To conclude, going back to the game, the best team won an unequal match but this isn't the end and Barça aren't unbeatable in the slightest as Inter Milan have shown so forcefully last year. R.Madrid played poorly and the bragging rights belong to Barcelonians at the moment however the league isn't won on a couple of performances and Barça have to show the mental resolve and togetherness which they are reputed to have, however I am not so sure.

From my point of view, Atletico de MAdrid is a smaller team than Barça and MAdrid. Nevertheless, the team as a squad is really great. Last year won two trophys and it really made the team progress.
ReplyDeleteWe'll see in the future what happens!!!!!
